Learn the Cocoknits Method

This class will meet on 4 Saturdays...

  • The class will have an initial session to get you ready: a chance to plan gauge, finalize yarn choices, etc.
  • The following week we will have a workshop day.  During which, Kate will walk you through (and you will all knit!) the full set-up section for our Cocoknits yokes using the Emma pattern. You will leave the workshop with your Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet filled in and ready to use to knit the rest of your yoke at home.
  • The class also includes two follow-up sessions to support you through the rest of your sweater, as needed.

Please note: This class is for intermediate knitters who have knit sweaters before and are interested in learning a new construction method. Please see the list of skills needed below.

Emma is a quick knit with a gauge of 3 stitches per inch and a great way to learn this method. It offers three unique versions which means our sweaters may all be very different.

Skills required to take this class:

  •          Previous sweater knitting experience (type of construction does not matter)
  •          Knit, purl, rib, normal increases and decreases, long-tail cast-on
  •          Comfortable reading knitting patterns

Skills you will learn in this class:

The Cocoknits sweater construction method
  • How to use the Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet
  • Lifted Increases: PLL, PRL, KLL and KRL
  • A different way to “pick up and knit”
  • Jeny’s Stretchy Bind-off

Classes will meet on the following Saturdays
