Beginning Crochet

Basics, basics, basics. Finishing a successful project always relies on practicing the basics. Let's explore crochet from beginning chains to final stitches. With four basic stitches, whether done flat or in the round, crocheters can create an endless variety of wearable, decorative, and/or practical items. Come discover what you can create.
Learn the slip stitch (ss), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc) and double crochet (dc). Then by the end, we will get you started on a simple hat.

Instructor Bio: | In my twenty years of crochet, I have made many mistakes. And I understand the frustrations and satisfaction that come with learning a new skill. At the moment, while bulking up my family's need for cold weather gear, I am equally riveted by toys and blankets that bring joy and warmth to children at our local hospitals. Come crochet with me and explore this rediscovered craft. |
